Raleigh,

What benefit does Worldcom has in teaming up with Ftel this way? If Ftel is allowed to set up DVGs at Worldcom's POPs it is beneficial for Ftel because it saves a lot of time. However, I am sure Ftel is PAYING for this. We don't know in what terms. The part which is not clear to me is that why would Worldcom go through this deal? Do you think Worldcom might ask Ftel to not only pay rent for stationing the DVGs at its POPs but also impose a tarrif on the telephone traffic FNET brings in. If this is true, I am afraid this deal may not bring any revenues to Ftel, except that it allows rapid deployment of the DVGs. Any comments.

Gunther
