An excellent fund. Same thing with A.C. Income & Growth. They bnoth have excellent long, short, and intermediate term records. These funds will never be in the top 10 in the quarterly or annual rankings, but they are very consistent. That's what you look for. Funds that do it over the long haul. Vanguard Windsor II is another solid choice. Vanguard Equity Income looks like still another good choice. However, all these funds are more large cap oriented, so be careful if you're looking for as good small cap fund. I think the Sound Shore Fund may be a good small cap choice. Also like Safeco Growth, but the stocks listed in their latest annual report seem to be more in the mid - large cap range. Just my $.02. Mark
