About China: (OK, I am pushing it...) With an average growth rate of almost ten percent a year for the past fourteen years, China is the most rapidly advancing economy in the world. China's national government is focused on privatization of state enterprises and the encouragement of foreign investment. It ranks second to the United States in drawing foreign investment. Recent data indicate that more than 245,400 foreign-funded projects had been approved by Chinese authorities and more than 100,000 were operating. Foreign investment totalled US$110 billion. A survey of US corporate executives revealed that they believe Shanghai to be the best future business centre in the world. Beijing is ranked number six. Our senior management has been working in these rapidly expanding environments for the past six years.
