I just stumbled on this, QCOM product I hadn't heard of before. Part of the US government's need for world wide secure communications.

It's called CONDOR, "An NSA program to develop and demonstrate secure voice and secure net broadcast services over commercial cellular infrastructure." I can see who is going to be a big customer of Globalstar.

It looks like Motorola is behind on this project, too. (No specs from them.)

Can anyone explain what they mean by "Net broadcast." If it is just what it sounds like (one person talks, everyone listens) are there any consumer applications for this?
