I make mine go and go and go. I change out the foam sole inserts as I buy shoes large enough to take two or three extras. But I'm on lava a lot, and shoes die from other causes than just age. (3 months is a bit short). But I will agree that knee problems begin it is often the shoes that are causing the problem.
