No question about Satya's head being in the cloud. I guess it needs to be there but I do bemoan the passing of Windows Phone, which save for a few WiN10 Lumia models, a few Win8.1 models which can be upgraded to Win10 Mobile is fast becoming extinct, and am hopeful Windows desktop with mouse and keyboard is not neglected. I'm not a total Luddite but I do avoid the cloud to the degree that is possible in this age. I'm not a Nadella fan and I haven't held MSFT in this century but Microsoft shareholders should be happy with the company's performance since he took over its leadership.

I remember being at Microsoft when Satya was selected as the new CEO, there was a real moment of anticipation, excitement, and panic by employees. The Indian employees ( and there are a lot of them in Redmond) were excited but also worried having an Indian CEO could be good and bad for them.

He was the Cloud VP when picked but was also know to be very demanding on his Indian employees in his department.

As for the Windows Phone, most people at Microsoft were supposed to use the Windows phone and BING at work and I personally thought it was a nice phone. There was nothing worse than to be heard saying I googled something and have everyone around look at you with Bing plastered on their foreheads lol!

There used to be a lot of anger at Microsoft as employees watched other companies take products created and often discarded by Microsoft and then seeing them become major successes by other companies.
