Steve,

You missed an important reason that 6x86MX volume has been drastically cut. The Foundry Agreement(i.e., the added capacity) expires at the end of 1997. I suspect that production has been diverted to the MediaGX and MediaGXm.

No doubt, Cyrix switched most of its wafer starts from 6x86MX to the MediaGX and MediaGXm. If Cyrix uses its current wafer capacity at IBM for MediaGX & MediaGXm's, I suspect that about 1.1 Million chips per quarter could be shipped. This should give National sufficient time to ramp-up its foundry for very high volume MediaGX, MediaGXm and 6x86MX shipments in 2Q98 calendar year quarter.
