The First Amendment is very misunderstood and horribly misused today... The First Amendment was intended by our Founders to enable those who disagree with ongoing government policies to express their discontent and disagreement, and to express their alternate views for the purposes of arriving at a compromise, a meeting in the middle ground, so that more than only a single view could be expressed without retribution... Today, the nut cases think they can say anything, but they cannot... you can't yell fire in a moving theater, you can't yell bomb in an airplane or at the airport, and so on... The First Amendment allows and requires responsible expression of an opposing view, and NOT threats to destroy our duly elected federal government or President... most unfortunately, it's not being enforced, and this is the problem, so the mindset is moving more and more to the left... this is highly destructive and is now ripping our Constitutional Republic apart... such irresponsible expression is nothing less than sedition and should be treated as nothing less than that... GZ
