But if they make it compulsory to buy photovoltaics the actual economics wouldn't matter. While it's true that it's illegal in the USA to force people to buy things such as obamacare, if it's called a tax then it's okay according to the courts. Tesla likes to have opm transferred to them by force. All in a good cause of course. When saving the world, sometimes a bit of force is needed. It's for the grandchildren you know. Can't be too safe.
