Selfcare begins to ship $30 mln J&J order
WALTHAM, Mass, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Selfcare Inc said on Wednesday it
started shipment of its FastTake Electrochemical Blood Glucose
Monitoring System to LifeScan Inc, a unit of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ news), as part of an order worth over $30 million.
The company did not disclose additional terms of the shipment in its
press release.
Ron Zwanziger, chairman and chief executive of Selfcare, said, ''The
product has been under development and has undergone a number of
enhancements. The magnitude of the total order represents a critical
growth opportunity for our company.''
Selfcare develops, manufactures and markets health maintenance and home
self-test diagnostic products for the diabetes, women's health and
nutritional supplement markets.
