hi mark,

just wanted to share with you some methods i look at mutual funds.. feel free to comment..

in morningstar (http://www.morningstar.net), i pull up a ticker XYZ

i then look at

morningstar star ranking
sharpe ratio
morningstar risk (in down mkt)
morningstar return ratio

i then look at them comparing all of my fund picks and pick the highest returners with the least risk

is that a good method in your opinoin?

i've been tracking a list of picks, and in today's down day.. the least risk ones moved the least.. (duh)... but it shows that yes, you can have high return funds with the less risk..
