Hi Jaime,
Off thread (mostly!)...
I am back from Hawaii as of yesterday, after a five day ocean voyage. The seas were so rough that several people were actually tossed out of their beds and broke bones in the process. In fact, one of the passengers was airlifted off the ship following a broken pelvis (by the Coast Guard using a helicopter over 100 miles out to sea!!) that she received from being thrown out of a *chair*!! All in all, 35-50 foot waves aren't the equivalent of of a typhoon, but the ship's roll and yaw were somewhat reminiscent of Simula's price action over the last year.
It is my understanding that Simula's fourth quarter order profile will be announced in the morning. Expect to see a good number. From what I can gather, the company is making steady progress on 16G seating, and should be profitable by the middle of the first quarter in that business segment.
I am still expecting a modest loss for the fourth quarter, which should be no surprise to anyone at this point. The first quarter may well prove to finally be the turning point, though profitability will be very modest until the San Diego plant opens in the latter part of April.
An ITS order would be very nice, of course, but I doubt one will surface until after Standard 201 is finalized...according to NHTSA, by the end of January.
Then comes the SAE auto show in Detroit at the end of February, and following that I expect all h*ll to break loose.
I will post again tomorrow after the news release. Have a good evening. |
