There's no magic, if loaded, you might see a reduction in speed, I doubt it. How fast is your Internet service?

I picked up a few Dynex DX-GB5PRT 1gig switches off Ebay years ago, less than 20 bucks each. I see some Netgear gigabit switches for 17 now on ebay.
