In response to the question of the cost of coating platters, taken from their 10Q's...."NOMINAL".
That tells me there can be high profit margins. They have a nominal cost technology that will improve tens of millions of disk drives by upwards of 40% in terms of capacity. If the cost is nominal, but the benefit is that dramatic, couldn't AXC make out like a bandit?
