Of course, when did stupid soldiers ever beat smart soldiers?

The best example in the world is when Israel was attacked by every nation in the region in 1967, and Adlai Stevenson pleaded on the floor of the UN for the world to not let another holocaust happen. Six days later the world had to pull the Israeli army off the attackers as they were beating every nation, had defeated Egypt and of 86 fighter plane battles with Syria downed every one and never lost a single plane.

Countries with a population over 100 million versus a country with about 3 million at the time.

The Israeli army does not yell at their soldiers, they teach them to think. The two toughest armies on earth are the Israeli's and South Koreans, two of the most educated armies on earth.

And it was a school teacher that held the line in the civil war at?, by taking the high ground.

The best way to train a soldier is to teach them to think, not just blindly obey by yelling at them.

The army purposely dumbs soldiers down. It is their tactic and it is stupid.

A soldier can be intimidated to obey or they can do it by being convinced it is the right decision(how South Korea does it-(watch Descendants of the Sun on Netflix-great movie that shows modern Korea). Task oriented versus ego oriented.

You believe wise soldiers would have killed better?
