froland: I believe you're correct. The Russians want hard currency and don't like the discipline of the cartel. That has been going on for a bit. I'm just saying that from my point of view, given the nearly identical physical properties of the C3 stones and diamonds that it is only irrational custom that could continue to attribute enormous difference in value. After all, who have you ever met, or even heard of who has ever sold a diamond. People own diamond jewelry ( at least up to a couple of carats) for the enjoyment of the bangle. No other substitute I know of is anything less than obvious from even a few feet away. So, I think a lot of people will shake off the old diamond sellers B.S. and there will be some fine jewelry made, featuring generous use of gold and platinum; but priced moderately because the moissanite stone is so appropriate in properties to use in fine settings.

If you haven't already, take a look at George Tromp's response to my questions. I think the man doth protest too much. These moissanite stones are going to rock their world. It makes him angry to think of it.
