Hi Jimsy, Jimsy, a better question might be, what was an investors imformation source BEFORE the internet. Ans. Often times it was just the word of his high commissioned overpaid, overweight broker with one or two years trading experience and what he could read in the one or two daily newspapers he might/afford to buy. Or what he might hear at work, or "my buddy told me about this ten cent stock thats going to ten bucks cause his uncle's mother's brother's girlfriend went on a trip with the boss' manager to Botswania and even SAW the gold, you can't lose"! (What we called insider info,ha!) Now we having acces to tons of newspaper financials, up to the minute spot prices of gold/oil/dollar etc.l prices. Sharing of investor information, chat rooms (often with investment gurus), instant e-mail info." Direct to you newsreleases". Insider trading reports. Better access to company IR people/phone numbers. E-mail newsletters. On line discount trading. Also we have live market depth availability, which was never available to us before. Also we have access to in depth foreign market info activity prior to N. American markets opening. These are just a few thoughts for now that come to mind. Just my two cents worth..........commission free! Last but not least, we have humour!
Respectfully
