JOhn,,,yes I believe that spirtual death is separation from God. He still existed. In fact He would have to go to Hades and exist there for a time. Nothing kills the spirit. it lives forever. the issue never has been live forever...it has always been where is that forever.. Heaven and New Jeruselm or Lake of fire. Like I said Jesus didn't go to lake of fire unless it was to check out the temparture and see if the treadmills worked on extra high. This is how I interpret ps 16 and act 2:31. To take our place He would have to be in the condition of an unsaved person and go to Hades. without that He didn't take the penalty that we deserved.
