What did those leaked transcripts reveal except that Trump was lying to America about his intention to have Mexico pay for the wall? Does the job of president require the ability to lie to the American people? Indeed, Trumpers think so. It seems people are now arguing unless the president can operate in secrecy, he will be unable to function. I find this an odd argument. So far, what leak has harmed the interests of America, as opposed to the interests of Trump? No one claimed it was a crime against America when we found out about various Clinton administration dealings with China, or the undisclosed parts of Obama's Iran deal. Personally I think the most serious leak of classified intelligence during this administration has been the leak to the Russian FM and Ambassador in the Oval Office.
