Humbly report, the price-tag estimate keeps going up: Meanwhile Edward Yardeni, chief economist for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, has stated that the Y2K bug--"a trivial yet overwhelming problem"--increases the probability of a 20 percent drop in the stock market. Such a drop could, depending on its global scope, add trillions of dollars to the Y2K price tag and spark a sharp economic downturn all by itself. zdnet.com Sure is a pretty day.
