Dave, Zip and Jaz drives and disks are not easily duplicated due to the special coding device incorporated in each disk. Besides, why would anyone want to copy the drive when all they have to do is get the license to build the drives from Iomega. Iomega wants as many drives as possible out among the general public.

Face it, Iomega has started the new, general use disk standard with the Zip - EVERY ONE ELSE IS TOO LATE!

I expect if Iomega successfully pulls off it's general marketing plan, keeps upgrading and adding to their Zip and Jaz lines, and introduces innovative new products - they will reach the stature of Intel.
