It sounds good in theory, but very dangerous in practice. Personally, I think it's wrong to hate a person of color (based on color) or a minority group.
It is illegal to scream fire when there is no fire. The same should apply to expression of hatred toward people of color and minority religions. Both represent clear and present dangers.
ACLU can be very abstract at times.
