<< ... Martek has made so little progress to date ... >> I guess it's the old "better mousetrap" story. But, if you can't create a demand for the product, a lot of meeses are going to go free! Several times, over the last few months, the story of DHA and it's relationship to children's mental and visual development has been spotlighted on the national news. Perhaps, this time, the ex-Merck execs can take advantage of the current publicity. To me, the news about DHA is getting too hot for something not to pop shortly. And.... Martek is in one of the best positions to take advantage of it, especially with their new manufacturing facility. Personally, I would guess that a major infant formula producer, in the near future, is going to include DHA in it's product. If it happens, will it be Martek's product? Their major gains in "pre-term" infant formula will not result in major financial gains, IMHO, but it provides major gains in the "credibility" and "safety" arenas. And, they already have "full term" formula in the overseas market. Are you going to remain a "past" shareholder of MATK? Regards, and good luck, Bob |
