Whilst i agree with your position, i find it troubling that the office of the Presidency garners so much "moral/leadership" authority. Those who cannot think independently, or lack critical thinking skills, sometimes need someone (king, religious leader, or political leader) to think for them but it has all gone too far.

POTUS is the civilian head of the defense apparatus and part of the law making apparatus. An employee of the people. Does "thinker for the minions" or "moral compass" now form part of this employee's job description? As rotten as much of the media may be, it starts with "we the people".

At least Mr.Market is thinking for itself and has shrugged off comments/opinions from media and POTUS.
