PR Newswire, Thursday, January 08, 1998 at 10:26
CARY, N.C., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Tangram Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:TESI), a provider of business software for tracking Information Technology (IT) assets in the distributed enterprise, announced that it recently signed four new MicroAge channel partners to resell Asset Insight, the company's asset tracking system, to U.S. businesses in the midwest, mid- Atlantic and New England states. Jim Taggart, Tangram's director of VAR Channels, said each of the four MicroAge resellers has extensive experience in delivering top-quality networking solutions and related services to mid and large-sized corporations, a key reason for their selection. "Since January, Tangram has been building an indirect sales channel through which we can market Asset Insight. MicroAge was chosen because it is a very strong channel partner," Taggart stated. "Not only do they have an experienced sales force and a well-developed network, they also have a loyal customer base - key ingredients for success. Thanks to these agreements, Tangram will have exposure to the markets MicroAge targets, and MicroAge customers will benefit from improved asset management and a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)."
The new MicroAge partners include:
-- Bell Industries, Indianapolis, IN, will market to Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, District of Columbia, North and South Carolina.
-- Custom Computer Specialists, Happauge, NY, will target corporations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
-- MicroAge Chicago will market Asset Insight to Fortune 500 companies in Chicago.
-- UNICOM MicroAge, Providence, RI, will target the six New England states, including Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
These four new VARs bring to six the number of MicroAge companies reselling and integrating Asset Insight. Other MicroAge VARs reselling Asset Insight include Western New York Computing Systems of Rochester, NY, and GBS Computers & Communications of North Canton, OH. A partial list of Asset Insight national and international value added resellers and integrators includes Electronic Data Systems, Unisys, Vanstar, and CompuCom, among others. Introduced in January 1997, Asset Insight is used by a growing number of organizations worldwide to track and monitor far-flung distributed enterprises. A sampling of those enterprises include, among others: Deutsche Telekom, PeopleSoft, Nortel, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Chase Manhattan Bank. |
