Intelogis PASSPORT(TM) Networking Products to be Manufactured by Flextronics International

First Plug-And-Play Networking Products Will be Manufactured in Malaysia Plant

AMERICAN FORK, Utah, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Intelogis Inc. today announced its PASSPORT(TM) line of data networking products will be manufactured by Flextronics International (Nasdaq: FLEXF - news), a full-service supplier of design, engineering and electronics manufacturing solutions with 20 facilities worldwide.

The Intelogis PASSPORT products, which will ship in the first quarter of 1998, provide convenient and affordable high-speed connectivity between computer devices over existing electrical wiring. Installation of the PASSPORT system is as simple as plugging PASSPORT devices into electrical outlets, attaching a computer or printer to the device with a parallel cable and installing software onto a PC. The PASSPORT network can then be used to share printers, access the Internet, exchange data files and engage in multiplayer computer games, all without dedicated cabling or other network equipment.

Flextronics, a leading contract manufacturer with $1 billion in 1998 revenues and two million square feet in manufacturing facilities, has global operations with factories throughout the Americas, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia and China. Flextronics provides a broad range of services including procurement, custom passive component design, complete system manufacturing, outbound logistics and distribution.

The PASSPORT products will initially be manufactured in Flextronics' Malaysia plant.

''This relationship with Flextronics provides us with several benefits,'' said Robert Webber, Intelogis president and COO. ''First, we benefit from 'virtual' manufacturing, avoiding significant plant and equipment costs. Second, we leverage the buying power of a billion-dollar business to cut component costs. Third, offshore production significantly reduces our labor costs. Fourth, Flextronics' regional centers provide us with an established, efficient distribution system. And finally, we keep inventory off our
balance sheet until production is complete.

''The impact on our bottom line is immediate, effectively reducing our manufacturing and labor costs by several dollars per unit,'' Webber continued. ''Moreover, our engineers are familiar with the facility and personnel at the Malaysia plant from prior business associations.''

Other Flextronics customers include Hewlett-Packard, Motorola and Cisco. Flextronics International Ltd. is a global EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) provider of a full spectrum of value-added services. Its OEM customers include leaders in fast-growth communications, computers, medical and consumer markets where innovation, time to market, product miniaturization and cost reduction are paramount. Flextronics has 20 facilities worldwide.

Incorporated in January 1997 when it acquired technology to transport data via power lines from Novell Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVL - news), Intelogis is a privately held company that develops networking hardware and software products that transmit high-speed digital signals over regular AC wiring. The company's PASSPORT technology makes
computer-to-computer (and other electronic equipment) communications as simple as plugging a device into a wall outlet. The Intelogis Internet site is located at
intelogis.com.
