There will be much spending/investment to implement local number portability (LNP). It has lots of mentions in the Lucent annual report which just came in the mail.

Simply stated, LNP allows an incoming call to find the target number when the service provider is one of several.

Mr. Donald mentioned it in the Q3 conference call as an "in-testing" product, if I recall correctly.

I can't quantify the market for this. Can anyone?
