I would suggest the problem lies not with Firefox, but in Windows. There are programs, some free which will list all start up items and programs, and enable you to stop or kill any program. Apparently windows 10 also has a means to do so. google.ca Maybe Josh has a favorite program he can recommend? Excuse and disregard if the above has been mentioned before.
