Glad to hear that it worked. Since I know a lot of malware uses web browsers to do its dirty work, it occurred to me that some might be designed to launch a web browser so it can carry out whatever it's designed to do.

Malwarebytes is a good thing to run from time to time to make sure your Mac or PC hasn't picked up anything along the way.
