I had a similar experience with Dell. They sent me a lemon. I spent hours on the phone. First with the techies in India, who took remote control of my computer while I stayed on the phone with them.

First one couldn't fix it and bumped it up a level, who took me through the same process. And he couldn't fix it. Again, hours on the phone. I finally asked to talk to someone in the States, who determined that indeed it was a lemon and they sent me a new one. I wish I'd asked for the Stateside techie in the first place.
