Director Joss Whedon Gets Slammed by Ex-Wife for Serial Cheating

Director Joss Whedon, the man who brought us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has been commonly perceived as a feminist for his portrayal of badass female characters. In addition to Buffy, he was also the man behind The Avengers and its sequel, and he is reportedly taking over for Zack Snyder to finish DC's upcoming film Justice League. However, his public image is now pretty much shattered due to his ex-wife's recent essay.
In a guest essay for The Wrap, Whedon's ex, Kai Cole, accuses him of cheating throughout their 16-year marriage.
"I want to let women know that he is not who he pretends to be," Cole said. She claims Whedon admitted to her he hid multiple affairs that he had with his actresses, coworkers, fans, and friends while they were married.
"I want the people who worship him to know he is human, and the organizations giving him awards for his feminist work to think twice in the future about honoring a man who does not practice what he preaches," she continued.
The essay has even led to the fan site Whedonesque's shutting itself down after 15 years.

A representative for Whedon told The Wrap that her essay "includes inaccuracies and misrepresentations" and that Whedon is not commenting "out of concern for his children and out of respect for his ex-wife."
