I've worked on PC's for dozen years. Tried most of the cleaners and protectors. Found that the "disk cleanup" included in PC's by MS works fine-except when it comes to registry issues. We look at all the objects cleaned by the best three cleaners and think-Wow these must be good. Yet all have a downside-no cleaner is perfect and too clean can hurt more than help. They all leave tracks on your disk/s. None should be used daily or even weekly-they actually slow down the searching process no matter what browser. And none, such as Ccleaner, should be allowed to "monitor" your machine-it is nonsense. Use anyone of the top three cleaners monthly or every 6 months. Once used, remove them ASAP. The use of JRT or ZHP PUP removers is advised if you go to "strange" places, allow auto updating or your machine runs "hot". Once your machine is operating smoothly and has been cleaned-make sure to remove all restore points-they use a lot of space.
