MANCHESTER, England & CONCORD, Mass., Aug. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nanoco Group plc (LSE: NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other nanomaterials, today announced Brian Gally, the company's Head of Product, will be a featured speaker at the QLED and HDR10 Summit taking place during IFA 2017, September 1 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Berlin, Germany. The symposium is co-hosted by Insight Media and Samsung Electronics Corp.

The focus of the symposium will be on quantum dot technology, QLED TVs, HDR10 and HDR10+ technology, products and adoption. Gally will present on " Quantum Dot Color Filters for Photoemissive Displays." This event follows a similar two-day event in Hollywood on June 27-28, which brought together the Hollywood technical community along with Samsung and other industry experts, including Nanoco.

The QLED and HDR10 Summit at IFA 2017 offers a unique opportunity to hear the full scope of Samsung's plans for quantum dot (QLED) displays and its extensive HDR10/HDR10+ ecosystem activities. Samsung presenters will be complemented by other industry partners and experts, such as Nanoco's Gally, and there will be a number of demos to showcase the technology.

The goal is to share technical, product, market, standardization and measurement information and discuss issues related to the adoption of wide color gamut and HDR technology in TVs and the related content creation and playback ecosystem.
