An example of Tuna's investment acumen -

From the Vivus thread when VVUS was trading in the mid thirty dollar range:

Sonki, right now, is a good time to put money into Vivus IMHO :
+/- 35.5.
I would put 50 % in it now and 25 % in the next 1- 2 hours; keep 25%
as cash in case it goes lower. I doubt it.
We are seeing the PR that Pfizer is pulling on CNBC. Here is a guy going out there with no Viagra- published data in peer reviewed
medical journals ( Vivus has had 2, in 2 blue chip Journals )
based on 1 year old trials reccommending it. Mind boggling.
Everybodyknows that at best Viagra is for people with mental (inorganic)impotence amd very MILD forms of disease ( organic ) impotence. At worse, in case of the Vivus field of true organic ED they will be used together.
This of course assuming that Viagra gets approved. With the study in Nature however showing retinal degeneration this is by no means
guaranteed. With 10 mill diabetics the eye issue in my opinion is important. To note ,retinal degeneration does not clear.
The other important issue is drug-drug interaction, since Viagra is taken systemically and since all phosphdiesterase inhibitors (PDE ) like Viagra are used to treat heart disease.

I think that we have only 10 days remaining to Vivus eps. The count down begins. 50% short of the float. Vivus management has a " bad " gg
habit of keeping of keeping mum about any good news and then dumping it on the market during eps press releases causing big price increases.
I am looking at Vivus to be 38 by Tues, if not Mon.

VVUS then drifted down to the low twenties by early Dec. & then plunged to below $9.75. It has since rebounded STRONGLY to about $10.75.

Two questions-
1- How's your friend Sonki?
2- How can you call ANYONE clueless??
