It just came to my mind if MediaGXm could run at 200Mhz without fan in notebook, then, the exact same chip could run at 250Mhz with fan in the desktop reliably. Companying 83Mhz bus speed with SDRAM, MediaGX-250 would definitely outrun PMMX-233.
You made great sense about the not-yet-announced design wins. After showing such a chip, GX-250Mhz, and took the orders for all its capacities, Cyrix has to await for its customers to announce the design win. Could I be right?
What would the average Joe choose among GX-250, P-233, P-200, K6-233 and K6-200 if GX-250 costs the least? Of course, 250 wins as always!
