Everyone seems depressed.

Just looked at the world indices ( quote.yahoo.com ) and noticed that ALL North American AND European markets are in the red.

Of course it's just a coincidence and the U.S. should snap back in the next couple of days for a Dow Jones rally to 10,000 ;-)

More seriously, given the extent of the crash in Indonesia, and let's not forget that the Phillipines and Thailand were down more than 5 and 7 percent respectively, there is a very real possibility for the dominoes to fall fast and far at this point. If so, gold may pick up but the biggest gains may come from the weapons manufacturing sector.
