>>>I appreciate Don posting his thoughts and targets no matter how much of an educated guess it is...even if he isnt trading on them. It doesnt change the validity of his tools. I am glad he is not like you and enjoys posting his thoughts even if he doesnt trade on them.<<<

Maybe you don't read many of my posts, but I post many ideas that I don't trade. The ideas I post are ones that I'd CONSIDER trading. I just pick and choose the opps I am most comfortable with.

>>>and as far as your postings...arent they all really just guesses..no matter how much information is used to make that an educated guess.<<<

I don't subscribe to the Random Walk Down Wall Street Theory. I believe anyone who does their homework SHOULD be able to outperform a guess. Matter of fact, we can do a little test from now til the end of the year if you like. Pick 5 random stocks (be honest now), and I'll post 5 stocks which I've picked based on my analysis.

Whatcha think?

>>> you would be retired on an island by now living a Shangra La life....well you do that anyway...<<<

Hey now...it wasn't all that long ago that I was taking $5000 cash advances on my credit cards to trade options with. I'm proud of my Shangra La that I've built <<<g>>>.

>>>So what is the key difference for the market vs the stocks which makes you not comfortable in predicting it with the same certainty as you do stocks?<<<

Not sure how to answer that. For some reason, the tools I mainly use on indices, I don't use on stocks, and the tools I use on stocks I really don't use on indices. Maybe that'll be a project for '98...use my tools on both.

Hasta.
