I just spoke with a contact I have at HEC to catch up on things. HEC
has two rigs running and will continue to have two running, not four.
They are extremely fortunate to have those two as they are being
hounded by other companies needing rigs. I should mention that it was reiterated to me that while they are currently running on, or ahead of schedule, it is very possible that things could go "off schedule" due to logistic problems and governmental regulations. I mention this, because I know the stock will respond to any glitches in the schedule. HEC is concerned about that too. They feel like everything has been running too smoothely in this regard, and I think maybe they are having second thoughts about publishing their schedule with tight time frames. I was told that sometimes drilling permits are held up for months with no reasonable explanation forthcoming from the government.
They are VERY excited about the Columbia play and the fact that they will be speeding up their program. No real news on either well. I did learn that they kicked off the lateral leg of the Catalina well above the target zone, without evaluating the zone vertically.
Domestically, they are doing well also, but of course nothing of the magnatude of Columbia.
Hang onto you britches, pardner.... this horse ain't out of shute yet!!!
