I understand that there are many reasons that a "Silver Bullet" is not possible in the sense that many people use that term - push a button and the problem is fixed. I also realize that we're not talking about a fix coming from some kid in New Zealand or from a penny stock company.

This is from CA and in my book, they have a significant reputation in the market and a lot of credibility. I think that is why they used the words "closest thing to a silver bullet." What they are really saying is that they have made a significant leap in simplifying the remediation process and they have got some pretty hefty testimonials supporting them.

I do not bring this up because I am pushing CA or any company associated with them. I do so because if the impression given in the press release is correct, then it looks like companies, no matter what they have done to date, will have no problem remediating their code by the end of the year (at least in the areas served by this solution), in time to test it next year. And if that does happen, then perhaps a lot of the future doom and gloom might go away.

So my questions are really as follows:
- Is this software really as good as CA says?
- What are its limitations?
- Does this change Yardeni's view of the future?
