they just had a segment on folks trying to leave the city but flooding has the roads and parts of the interstate closed...so NOW folks are trying to leave...and it will only get worse with more rain,loss of power and services.etc...

not 2.3 million..but you sure can get 8 or so out ( your cousin and his family)...they could have driven north for 12 hours...i bet Oklahoma City has some nice hotels,with A/C, color T V ,and room service....

whoever gets the force of a Cat 4 hurricane and the water and flooding is going to be educated...

edit ..Oklahoma City is 444 miles and a 7 hour drive.....a no brainer...

Memphis is a 9 hour drive...go see Graceland and stay at the Peabody...
