I was thinking about Rieman's comment about DVD players taking the place of CD players. When will we see: (1) DVD changers, (2) portable audio DVD players (walkmans), and (3) car DVD players and changers? I guess they won't come until the record industry starts producing audio DVDs to replace CDs. With all the room on a DVD, however, you could have all the videos plus the entire album, so why not use the DVD as both a audio and a video source - play it at home to watch the video and/or listen to the album, and take it to the car or walkman when you want. Hey, this DVD thing just might have real world applications ....
