It was rigged. He asked for a jury trial and was denied because they only charged a misdemeanor. The FEDs charging people with misdemeanors? Yeah right, so they could deny him his right to a jury of his peers. And the judge was a fix. So don't get your panties in a twit about the President of the US pardoning a guy for a little misdemeanor, ok?
