Ari, I would be reluctant to enter into this situation for the following reasons.

If you do try hedging it I would make sure that the hedge could be set up for approx 5% above the stock price(inc commission), my records dont show if this is an exchange traded debenture, I never buy non exchange traded debentures because the bid-ask is too large and I can't put a good till order in. Also I haven't checked the volume, so I would be concerned that this doesn't trade enough??

Try looking at the Trizac Haln 3.25, trades on the TSE (US$) and converts into Barrick, could be a posibility there. Ive gotten lazy on these hedges, the only one im running now is Air Canada, Eagle Hardware and Phycor so I can't make too many suggestions.
