Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team is working with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman on its investigation into Paul Manafort and his financial transactions, according to several people familiar with the matter.

Some of the best possible news there could be. Looks to me as if it heads off the nullifying effect of Trump's pardoning power. He can use his pardoning power to keep the Manaforts from testifying against him. Mueller's leverage against them wouldn't work. But Trump's powers are limited to federal crimes; not state crimes. Thus, this business of Mueller and Schneiderman working together is a very, very big deal.
