The Motley Fools are apparently being scrutinized closely by the SEC
at the moment. Their cheerleading for certain questionable stocks
may be naive enthusiasm or conflict of interest, I don't know which,
but information obtained there is highly suspect -- at least in this
venue the hypemeisters are not sophisticated stock touts.

As for the "dinosaurs" AOL, Prodigy, Netcom, etc., the ones which
are flexible, have the least investment in proprietary infrastructure,
and let go of the idea they can collect excess rent from customers
will be the big winners. Despite its questionable service, Netcom
comes closest to qualifying, but I suspect a Baby Bell or a cable
company will have unsurmountable natural advantages.
