To be technical about it, I understand that three white soldiers requires that all three sticks overlap and these don't... I'm certainly not a candlestick expert in any way, but I don't think it makes any different whether they overlap or not... Although, using the HA sticks, they do overlap (as if somehow overlapping is a must) and have occurred exactly like these current three sticks at the beginning of previous major rallies... the most recent example of that can be seen on July 12th, before that on May 18th of this year when the market bottomed and then took off like a rocket in a hurry... before that on November 7th of last year... and so on... So, while these candles may not fit the "strict" official three white soldier definition, I don't think it makes any difference, the general pattern itself is plenty good enough and shows historic reliability and validity... that's good enough for me... A positive weekly is all that is needed on the close today to seal the deal and watch the festive running of the Bears again... they never learn... GZ
