If you disbelieve that comment then even simple math is over your head. In the 1 hour and 30 minutes the eclipse waned the air temperature rose by 15 F. there are 876k hours in a century. 876k / 1.5 = 584k 584k * 15 = 8760k degrees / century. So the Sun heats the Earth at a rate over 8000 degrees ... Sorry for the typo missing k. Those who wish to truly understand the natural laws that control matter and energy flows compare of thinks about how things are the same and how they are different. All this is again near Polaris as to how far over your head it is.
