Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos has turned down financial assistance for Houston and loans of equipment and specialists from both Quebec by their Minister of International Relations, Christine St-Pierre and from Mexico by President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Texas and Quebec have a close relationship thanks to both trade and the aerospace industry, and despite Pablos’ response, St-Pierre still said of Texas, “They are our friends, this is what friendship means.”

Rolando Pablos told Quebec that Houston only needed their prayers and thanked St-Pierre for the offer of assistance.
