Such consequences should be the end of moronic libertarian dogma. No more Ayn Rand, no more Rand Paul or Paul Ryan "market self-regulation" horse shit. But it won't be the end of fatcat-benefiting market-driven invisible hands anal fisting public safety, or pushing for MORE deregulation in the states like Texas. Profits gained now, costs in the future paid by others. People have short-term memories - such history will be erased for a number of willful and unconscious reasons.
