First thing I noticed in that photograph is the islamic crescent symbol on the ring. Also notice the index finger pointed upwards. This is a universal gang sign hand signal for shahada or "one god" referring to Allah of course.

The one-fingered gesture has long been used by different Muslim groups to signify their belief there is only one God, but it has latterly been adopted by ISIS.

The ring Barack Obama wears on his left hand includes the Islamic and Arabic phrase, “There is no God but Allah". Snopes has poo-pooed this a false but they are not experts. The inscription on the ring was verified by Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obama’s ring and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it. In my opinion he has more credibility than Snopes to identify what is islamic and what is not.
